Istifaa and Ilexis at the Sutro Baths

Istifaa and Ilexis visit the Sutro Baths at sunset. At the edge of the Pacific, the Sutro Baths was a large swimming pool complex built in the late 19th century. Now in ruins, the lands around the site are part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco.

This portrait was captured on May 10, when Julie was an invited photographer to the the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center’s project A Day in the Life of Asian Pacific America.
